Forge Digital Pty Ltd (ABN 83 702 412 682) ("Forge Digital", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and in the course of our business, why we collect it, how we handle it, and how you can contact us about it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

1. What we collect

We collect personal information you give us directly, including:

Your name, business name, email address and phone number when you fill in a form, book a call, or use the chat assistant on this site.
Details about your business and what you want from a website, so we can prepare a proposal.
How you heard about us, and if you were referred, who referred you.
Correspondence with us by email, phone, text or chat.

We also collect some information automatically when you use this site:

Standard analytics data such as pages visited, time on page, device type, browser, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
Messages you type into the chat assistant. These are processed by an AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a reply from a fixed set of approved information, and are not used to train AI models.

We do not collect sensitive information (such as health, racial or religious information) unless you choose to give it to us, and we do not ask for it.

2. Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry and prepare a proposal or quote.
To book and hold a call with you.
To deliver the services you engage us for, and to communicate with you about your project and your plan.
To send you a follow-up if we haven't heard back from you after an enquiry.
To improve this website and understand how people use it.
To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not add you to marketing lists without your consent.

3. Who we share it with

We use third-party services to run our business. They process your information on our behalf and only for the purposes above. At the time of writing these include:

Form handling and lead capture (for example Formspree).
Call scheduling and customer relationship management (for example GoHighLevel).
Website hosting and security (for example Netlify, Cloudflare).
Email and document tools (for example Google Workspace).
The AI provider that powers the chat assistant (Anthropic).
Website analytics (for example Google Analytics).
Accounting and invoicing software.

Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure the provider handles your information in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

We may also disclose personal information where required by law.

4. Text messages and follow-ups

If you enquire with us, we may send you a text message or email confirming we received it and, if we haven't spoken, a follow-up over the following days. These messages relate directly to your enquiry. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to a text or by emailing us, and we will stop.

5. How we store and protect it

Your information is stored in secure, access-controlled systems provided by the services listed above. Access is limited to the two people who run Forge Digital. We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or de-identify it.

6. Cookies and analytics

This site uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics and to make embedded tools, such as the booking calendar and chat assistant, work. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work as a result.

7. Access, correction and deletion

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@forgedigital.au and we will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 14 days. There is no charge for making a request.

8. Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at the email above and we will investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
